I'm just an interested gamer and investor.

I'm younger (24) and I've played video and computer games since early childhood. I've made it a point to not only play the games, but analyze them, the industry and the technology always since I was a kid.

The main reason for this is one day I hope to create my own computer game firm and the only way I'm going to learn what will succeed is to play and analyze the products that are being released. I also hope to use this computer gaming knowledge to eventually help provide the funding I require to start up the video game firm (through investing in computer gaming related stocks).

An invest in 'what I know' philosophy.

My logic is basically appreciate what are the winners, hate the losers, analyze what separates the two, discuss it with others (locally and over the net), use this knowledge to invest in the companies with the winning products and one day use the capital to eventually create my own small gaming firm.

That's the theory anyways.

It seems I can pick the right stocks (all related to computer gaming) but have trouble knowing when to buy and when to sell because of my limited experience with the complexities of wall street. That's one of the main reasons why I come and share my ideas with everyone on this discussion area.

I was just thinking the same idea regarding the overall increase in internet bandwidth. Through standard modem technology, I don't think hundreds of players is really feasible without some considerable lag problems. But through cable modems and ADSL, the bandwidth is there thousands of players!
