News! Washington Post front page, circa November, 9, 2000.

Democrat Al Gore and Republican candidate Newt Gingrich were stunned according to observers this evening when they learned that Tokyomex, running for President for the new Silicon Investor party, squeaked out a shocking victory. The narrow margin of victory for Tokyo was attributed to 100% turnout by members of the Party. Said Tokyomexx, "I am most gratified by the confidence that voters have place in me by electing me President of the U.S. There are going to be some changes made in this country as soon as I take office. One of my first orders of business will be to deport most market makers and penny stock crooks."
Tokyomex went on to say that "the inaugoration party this year will be an exclusive event open only to members of Silicon Investor"
