Patriot: I was a long term player for much of last year.
When I realized that trading the bolinger bands would have worked all but one time for a profit during an 18 month period of time I began trading in that manner and gave up my long term position.
I've been pretty open about my parameters and have tried to post when I buy or sell. Usually within minutes so that I'm not accused of playing with the numbers as some have done on their posts. I have to tell you that I am in a great position with my PAIR trading, as you can check from my posts. I do believe however that you will eventually be correct and make more money than I, by using a long term approach. It's my hope to get on the long term train before it pulls out of the station. And I thought that this ROK deal might be it. But after doing my homework, as I know from your posts you do as well, I believe that PAIR will continue to move as it's done for the past year. At least for a little while longer. Up a little then down a little. Low risk at this level but not much upside until more comes out from the RBOC's and the PGFlex/Plus.
Good Luck to All. R..
