" someone should take the responsibility of the inventory problem." i tend to agree with your statement, david. i would add to it by saying that if 3com did invite john mccartney to leave, shareholders should be pleased that the company is responsible enough to take such a controversial step. had they not done it, the very same shareholders would be looking around for somebody to lay the blame on, wouldn't they? and how is it that so many people who are not even remotely affiliated with 3com have such powerful insight and knowledge about how management should proceed? just a couple of thoughts. mr.mark
