Eric,

The reason I use 1/2 there is because I believe what G3's sales in
Europe before January was about 1/2 "rate" of U.S. sales due to
shipment, Thansgiving/Christmas seasons. THerefore use "1/2" as a
factor in the formula.

But the figure you have shown from Hughes is slightly highter, 35,000
units, which is about 30% of total G3's sales, about 5% higher. I am
amazed G3's sales were better in Europe than in U.S. before January.
If that is a case, then January's sales in U.S. is brisk, which should
be at least the same in Europe.

Well, the bottom line is my previous two arguing points and lots of
assumptions. I wouldn't take it seriously unless we have more data
coming in to support our scenarios.

Phil

Eric, what's the deal with Claris's revenue? Will it be counted as part of Apple's for Q2 earnings? If so, how will that affect revenue and profit numbers? Did you add these numbers to your estimate? I know that Claris has always been profitable, but I don't know how profitable.

thanks,
