Steve, You missed my point. The idea is not to sell and shift from these companies but to shift between them. It keeps you in the sector, allows a way to take some tax losses, and lowers your basis. I only do it when I feel one company is temporarily out of synch with the group, overvalued or undervalued relative to others. If the discrepancy seems large enough I will make the switch, selling the relatively overvalued one and buying the relatively undervalued one. Baird
