Jose,

>>>Is it possible that ASND true market value is in the $30 - $32 and the market is reflecting that reality? IMHO asnd going from 25 - 38 was a combination of some positive news but mainly the buyout rumor. Recent announcements from Lucent and Nortel seem to have put a damper on any potential buyout and apparently it is being reflected in the price.<<<

I guess everyone has an opinion; mine is that the stock spiked up to 32 1/4 on 12/5/98 after having been in a base of around 24 due entirely on takeover speculation. It quickly fell back to the 24-25 base and starting about the last week of Dec. it began its' climb to the recent highs of around 38 almost entirely on its' own merit and is now taking a well deserved rest before breaking out again to the upside. (like maybe to 42) If the data I see is correct which calls for 11% growth in 98 and 24% in 99 then I see no reason why we can't go a lot higher by year end. I think the takeover speculation is pretty much factored out of the price now but that's a wild card that could reappear and suddenly drive the stock to the levels it should have reached on its' own merits by year end. (like say .....well I shouldn't say) Just my opinion but I am backing it up with good American dollars.

Hope you make a lot of money on asnd, that is if your long asnd.

Best regards,
ljm
