I believe Del Yocam left Apple in 1989.

In those pre Newton days, under Scully as CEO, AAPL was in

the Fortune top ten list of most admired US companies.

JS thinks enough of Del that, last fall, he was out banging the

table promoting him to be their new CEO.

Where do you get the idea that he was an Amelio crony?
