Dear Greystone: Let's continue with our discussion.>>>>>do you feel that men and women not yet in Christ might be more influenced by your living testimony to the greatest scriptures, or your doctrinal beliefs on what exactly constitutes Gods word. <<<<<< neither; given the choice we always have the word of God on which to fall. In my response to the question there is good in all men, and the separation of the dye out of the water, i. e. the "stain" of sin; through Christ our sin is not covered as in the OT, nor is it removed, but we are "cleansed" from all unrighteousness. I have not gone to the Greek root but I'll say the root word means to separate a far distance, as far as the east is from the west, as far as we are from the deepest part of the ocean. "to say we have no sin in us is to deceive ourselves; whether we be a Christian or whether we be a sinner, my point being that as long as we live in an earthly vessel, inhabiting the flesh; we are going to continue to fall short, miss the mark, or sin. That is why the role of our savior is a very active role for we continue to be saved every day of our lives. Now, for a Christian to get to the point that one believes one has no sin, nor recognizes the failure of the flesh; and compare that to a sinner that while away from Christ recognizes, the complete removal of oneself from the righteousness of God; to whom would go the greatest wrath of God: for it one of my most basic of beliefs that the penalty for rejecting grace is more severe than the penalty of rejecting the law; and by such a thought ( believing there is no sin in oneself) would you not be rejecting grace ? In Christ..gregor
