Roy,

<< To be quite frank, their identity is not important or interesting the fact remains that there are only a couple of switch vendors and guessing who is winning each OEM fairly easy. >>

With all due respect, I believe it is Very important to take seriously anyone who throws out lies or slanders a company in public. Just because someone may be right on about some things, doesn't mean what they are doing overall can be brushed off, especially if it might be illegal (ie. obvious manipulation pretending to be Jay). Yes, there are only a few switch makers currently. And yes, it isn't too hard to guess on who would end up with Sun.

I think wilhu/adam mentioned awhile ago that he had spoken with Bruce a few times, so it really might not be that hard to find out who he is.

<< I think we should all think about the fact that there have been very few businesses (segments) with so few competitors and that we should expect more companies to crop up in the FC switch, Hub and connectivity space. The large players in the Communications space will show up and give everyone a run for their money, count on it. >>

Do you believe this is one of the reason Vixel just grabbed Arcxel so quickly? If Brocade is having such a hard time getting AL to work so well, how long do you think it will take others (large players) without all the FC expertise to get the ball rolling smoothly?

contrary to what you may believe, I do like it that you are posting here and do appreciate your comments.
all imho

>>The large players in the Communications space will show up and give
everyone a run for their money, count on it. So a few loses early on
does not hinder ANCR for the long run.<<<

Some of these large companies will be more successful then others in
developing FC. Do you see companies such as ANCR and your company being gobbled up, the way Arcxel was, by even larger entities then Vixel as a way to get in the game?
Also do you see the seemingly very close relationship between Brocade and SUN having any down side in terms of obtaining future business for Brocade from some of the possible OEM's?
