Teri,

A question for you about these numbers. I am reading the four columns as: Front-End, Test, Assembly, Test & Assembly Totals

However then this doesn't make sense to me:

Nov 0.86 0.99 1.15 0.90

.9 looks like the total for all so what are the column headers.

Thanks,

Dave

BTW. The trend in column 3 seems to predict the trend in column 2 by a couple of months.

There is softness now, but when will it end? This is the big question. No one seems to know. It is interesting to note how many analysts like Lehman are still recommending some semi companies like AMAT as the article states. This seems to indicate that they don't believe the softness will continue too long and that these companies are either benefiting from the slow down by increasing market share or are not being beat up like some of the rest. I am pretty confident that as soon as there are the slightest indications that this sector is starting to show some growth again, it won't take long for this buying opportunity to disappear. For traders and short termers, waiting may be prudent, but long termers should not try to call the bottom. Only my opinion, of course.
