Joe, looks like MER is about to become part of an even larger financial power house. As to what impact this may have on CAI, I am having enough trouble second guessing MER's recent actions to begin with. I can only remain cautiously optimistic.

"omebody turn the lights out! It's time
to go home

All the heroes are gone now and we reflect on this sad saga. A company goes public 8mm shares at $7
bucks, the money used primarily to purchase spectrum of other fledgling MMDS providers (those boys
made out like bandits...Sonnenberg)'
. Then a death waltz with Nynex to run it up even more...this time to make the CAWS mgt rich as they
cashed out at 8,12,13.50 and one person profited almost 25 million...gee who could that be?
Dec 96 Nynex pulls the plug and whines of trashing the technology rumble down the NE corridor from
the multimilionaire.
The company then teases the shareholder with the feign of good riddance (sic?) to NYNEX... and here
comes the strategic partners.HOLD IN THERE SHAREHOLDERS!! We have a plan! Every "strategic
Partner" laughed in their face due to the joke of a business plan and the lack of direction for a specific
application and 350 million in debt??
Then the "INVESTOR". again, the investor is used as a ploy to shareholders, not being named was a
real good idea, heaven forbid it was a telecom giant with an actual application the the technology. Merrill
cannot even recommend the stock to customers due to fear of suit.
And here today......what do you folks have to say for yourself now...who can we blame it on, the gov't?
FCC? Monica Lewinsky.......
Nobody is feeling pain who works for the company, still drawing big salaries...how bout a performance
based comp plan for these Bozo's like every other executive in corporate america? yeh right, these guys
are batting .039 with 200 strikeouts and still playing ball! With our equity!
