Computer Task Group Contract (TSK):

CTG To Provide Year 2000 Services to Farm Bureau Life --FBL-- Financial Group

BUFFALO, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 25, 1998--CTG announced today that it will provide Year 2000 compliance services to FBL Financial Group Inc. [NYSE:FFG - news], an affiliate of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.

The multimillion-dollar, Year 2000 (Y2K) project is scheduled for completion in summer 1998. CTG will upgrade FBL Financial Group's information systems code to recognize the Year 2000 date changeover, a challenge all companies must confront before the century turns or face potential disruptions to major information systems.

''We are pleased to be so far ahead of the game in solving our Year 2000 challenge,'' said John Paule, FBL Financial Group's chief information officer (CIO). ''We decided to take action now to avoid service bottlenecks that are sure to occur as the millennium approaches and companies realize it's 'now or never.' Our commitment is to our customers and to ensuring that our customers face no disruptions to their service.''

CTG (Computer Task Group (NYSE: TSK - news)) is a leading information technology (IT) services company that provides IT services and solutions to the Fortune 500 and other companies through strategic partnerships.

Twenty-five CTG employees will staff the Y2K project, an outgrowth of programming work CTG was already doing for FBL Financial Group.

''FBL and CTG look at this as a mutually beneficial partnership. CTG's assistance will allow FBL Financial Group to assess the impact of Y2K compliance and help it gain control over its information system assets to best service its customers going forward from the Year 2000,'' said Steve Bonvissuto, director of Millennium Services for CTG. ''We look forward to continuing our long-lasting relationship with FBL.''

Affiliated with the American Farm Bureau Federation, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation is the state's largest general farm organization -- a coalition of farmers dedicated to improving net farm income and the quality of rural life. FBL Financial Group is a multistate insurance and investment organization that serves customers throughout a 15-state territory -- including nearly 700,000 Farm Bureau members -- with life insurance, annuities, and property/casualty insurance products and services.

As IT becomes increasingly critical to companies' corporate strategies and competitiveness, CTG is positioned as one of the largest and most responsive IT services firms in the industry, with 55 offices in North America and Europe, more than 5,800 IT professionals and a proactive recruiting approach -- CTG SmartSource.
