Steve, really like the MM falling asleep story. Actually, when I looked back at the option execution time it was a full 15 minutes before the stock hit intraday low. Either they fall asleep or they went off for a quick lunch break because it was executed at 11:48am EST! Keep that lunch hour timeframe in mind for your future trade.
