gmccon; I have a pentium and it is on constantly, with win95B. I leave it on day and night and the only things that kacks is it some funny moving crap, (active-x/java??) that I encounter once a month, and that freezes that browser and I hammer that flat and go on.

But then again I am a semi expert and can streamline all my operations to run cleanly. I also have first aid installed and it saves my soul(so it says) from time to time.

The Apple of old was more robust, G3?, is that crash proof?, or does it just crash that segment like Win95B and the rest goes on, or does it all crash?

I see video and other drivers being the problem in people problems here and there, that is true. But once stable it ususlaly stay that way.

Bill

gmccon,

200 mhz performa $999

absolutemac.com

A new G3 233 mhz desktop will smoke this machine at 3x to 4x as fast for roughly $1700. This G3 is about as fast as a top of line pentium machine and comes with SCSI. Look around for a used 17 in monitor ($300 for an Apple) and your in business buddy.
