Walt,
What do you make of WSP flying out the bulk sample in 14 trips. It would be incredibly expensive. What kind of planes would they use
that could land on site, pick up that kind of load and take off?
George's memo says there is concern about the ice road and also
security. Flying 14 trips must be incredibly expensive. That means whomever made that decision must think they have something so valuable that it justifies the cost.
Given the expense involved, I'd think the person who
made that decision must think that the ore is very valuable. I
understand the concern about the ice road. However, what intrigues
me is George's comment that there was a concern for security.
Trucks would be loaded on site. I assume they drive them straight
through to Yellowknife. What are they likely to be faced with?
Ice road highwaymen. Stick um up and give us your diamonds? Someone
between the site and the plant getting their hands on a piece of
ore that would give them a diamond count before WSP released the
results?

If you could give us the difference in cost between trucking out
the ore and flying it out, I think we could then get some idea
of how valuable Randy Turner thinks that ore is. I assume, from
past performance, which I have found to be quite conservative, that
he's not inclined to spending money on wild fantasies. He's got
to have some information that makes the cost of moving the ore by
plane justified.

Yes? No? Have I wandered off in some absurd direction in my thinking?
