Not that you would care Flynn, The link I provided for institutional ownership reflects changes on a daily basis. I have seen this fluctuate from 14% to 8% to 24.8% in 4 weeks. IBD updated their funds invested in a company once a week.
Perhaps, just perhaps, IBD and other services find the SEC filings totally useless, and use more aggressive methods than waiting for SEC reports to get current data on information that their customers are willing to pay a lot of money for.
Perhaps, they call the funds and ask. Perhaps they use methods you may not be familiar with. One thing is certain. The information available in the IBD charts is current. Likewise, Daily Graphs. Daily Graphs, by the way, guarantees their information to be accurate to the week. I believe they charge $680 a year or so for a subscription. I consider it money well spent. If you are relying on SEC filings for your information, you may wish to try Daily Graphs, also.
