Manny is responding to your thread:

This whole laser thing is all a marketing problem that has not been resolved. The question is "how do you make an optional procedures a necessity" and still keep it wrapped in medical ethics.
I've written all the companies with the same suggestion.
They should at least push the idea that eye glasses are "ugly" and unnecessary.

Her response: "create a disease"...Pappy

Insurance is the biggest key to the exponential increase in procedures
although they are up quiet strong.
most of the eye problems are not being treated as disease by the insurance. then what are they? it is up to the doctors to classify these cases as such and apply.

they will not receive the same $$ amount thu insurance medical coverage but the volume will probably make up for the difference.
