MERX..RXSD..something to remember. Since I am a daytrader and look to get into a stock for a hold of no less than 1 hour but sometimes no longer than 7 hours, I look at MERX as I look at any overbought stock. The couple of days before earnings come out usually provide some good positive activity on the stock. It doesn't provide a recommendation to BUY the stock and hold until the report comes out. RXSD has been trending on the possible earnings expectation for 2 weeks as has RCOT before it. They were both 'earnings plays' for me. MERX is not recommended as a BUY yet just as 'watch and see' if it can become a DAYTRADE. MERX was supposed to be in my watch list yesterday and if it continues to trend up tomorrow will provide a good daytrade. INVESTING in this stock I would definitely wait for the inevitable pullback. DAYTRADING this stock, I would wait for tomorrow morning and see if my entry price is reached. An earnings play begins anywhere from 1 week before the stock reports earnings to 3 or four days AFTER it reports and if the report is particularly good, for weeks afterward (i.e. SAVLY, SMTK, SSPE, LBOR, etc). If I can to 'scalp' a point or two from MERX as I have from RXSD and RCOT it will be considered a good play. If the earnings are factored in it then the stock won't be up tomorrow or Monday. Holding overnight is a double edged sword. A company like WTSLA will be upgraded on a good earnings report because it is not overextended, whereas a company like RXSD can be downgraded on value alone. since this forum is NOT a real-time trading desk but just a watchlist and I can only suggest that this COULD BE a good play but the exact moment it does or doesn't become one is for determination on a real-time forum or following it yourself with adequate real-time quote system and instant execution discount broker service. I'll report tomorrow morning if I think this is a "BUY" as I have this morning on some other stocks on my watch list.
