Larry, Methinks you have a cynical streak :-).. No I'm not Katherine's dad, but it would make me proud...Check around, she has a superb "Rep" in the industry...well deserved, IMHO... With new I-Line equipment still going out into today's production market, I got the idea that not everything would be the newest DUV technology overnight. The U. of T work indicated to me that, despite rumors of the early entry of e-beam and X-Ray, we might see DUV around for a while... Glad an industry insider like you concurs. PLAB seems to have a slightly better analyst assessment, especially over the near term, but longer term earnings growth (projected) appears to favor DPMI.. Since I can't own everything, I went for DPMI. I do like PLAB, I own CYMI, and I really like the looks of ETEC...will buy if I can figure out what to sell... UTEK, mentioned by someone earlier doesnt' ring my bells.... The US money supporting the Asian competitors bothers me just a bit. But at least the US money will demand a fair ROI, which wasn't true of the crony lending that bankrolled their market share grab in, for example, DRAM.. Now, I see in Business Week, that even INTC is discussing a $500 Mil investment in Samsung's chip business.. Displeases me. But I'll just adjust investments accordingly... //OT... Sorry...thought everybody on the Thread knew that TSO stood for "The Saintly One"... It comes from a while back when a thread friend noted: "If ignorance is bliss, then Duane is so blissful, he is halfway to sainthood"... I've adopted "The Saintly One" ever since...keeps me slightly more humble than otherwise <g> TSO
