Thanks for your response Herm. Question on open interest:
I use to look at high open interest when buying an option. I think when selling a call I should look for a low open interest.
My theory: If open interest is low most likely it is an overpriced and less promissing buy for savvy buyers but a few inexperience buyers may put their money into these options. Your comments ?
Ofcourse this is one of many things you would look at when selling a call. By the way do you have a site to check the delta factor on stocks?

Herm
In the interest of learning new techniques, let
me ask you if anyone can do this shorting against
the box or is it one of those methods you have
to wait for higher approval. Also shorting in
general, can anyone do this too? You're right
things have been low key for awhile. I bought a
few vvus sept 10 calls a few weeks ago so I could
write calls against the shares I already own. Now
if it'll just edge up a little, I'll write apr, june,
and aug calls (not at the same time). Any obvious flaws
here?

Thanks

Ray
