I may not be eloquent, I may seem like an idealistic fool... but I couldn't stand it.

Hello,

I am a network administrator for a 40 employee company (certainly not
the size of HP :). I also am the principal of my own computer
consulting firm. I purchase and install servers, workstations, desktop
computers, and equipment nearly every day. I have always respected
your technology, and have until this day been an investor.

But as of today I will *NEVER* purchase another HP product. I have also
sold my entire position in your stock.

This is how strongly I object to your dishonest, unethical business
decision to steal, subvert, dilute, dumb-down, and splinter JAVA.

I understand that this decision must have been made from the perspective
of "How can we make the most money", which is fine in itself, until you
steal and destroy another companies product.

I am sure there are many that will side with you on this decision
(Microsoft most notably as well as many individual computer
professionals and investors), but I simply cannot bring myself to accept
it as good corporate citizenship. Call me an idealist if you like. I
will keep as many sales as I possibly can from HP.

It is a shame.

James Johnson
