March 19 My broker spoke directly with Ed Lai, President of IBIC, yesterday and Mr. Lai indicated the following: - IBIC would not be issuing any further equity to finance this project or any other project in the future, - Although the market may have been expecting news on the timber concessions, this deal is much more significant to IBIC, - The reason the stock price has not moved upward (even lowered) is that the market does not fully understand the significance of this deal (the quality of this asset). This will likely take a couple of weeks. - IBIC will be a cash flow company by July, 1998, - The financing for the announced project will be provided to IBIC via the EDC, and - They will be making another visit to Guyana over the next couple of weeks.
