Jane: You described my church. I have seen children as young as 6 and 7 get saved. Sunday services that will not stop. People crying, seeking God, not wanting to leave his presence. The pastor dismisses the service and half the people are still there 1/2 hour later. The pastor being slain and unable to get to his feet to minister. And most of us have a background of Baptist , Episcopal, Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian. People getting saved, guys coming forward with the chains that hang off their wallets, and cowboy boots on. Poor people going to the altar. People driving by, and seeing the parking lot so full that they come in out of curiosity and get saved. People gettin healed of all different maladies. Young teenagers taking over the service so many of them coming to the altar. Bringing friends to get saved. We have grown from 70 to 600 . Nobody knows each other. We have to update the church directory constantly so we can know each other by name. Wives getting saved and the next Sunday the husband getting saved, then the next sunday the kids. Divorced women bringing 8 and ten family members to church with them. We have em come that are shacked up with girlfriends , boyfriends, drug addicts, alcoholics, you name it. We have ex cons.Guys waiting to be sentenced. People coming off second and third divorces. My wife had a foot operation. We had so much food I was taking it to all my friends that are single so they wouldn't have to cook. When you are through with the dishes you put them above coat racks in the vestibule; strangers come in and wonder what all the dishes are doing there. It really does look wierd. The shelves are always full of dishes, like a kitchen or something. Our pastor is the most humble guy in the world. His wife throws her voice and does shows for the kids ; the kids love it. I was in a really great church 10 years ago and I had a dream the church would grow to where the members would be able to ring the outside of the church holding hands; then the Lord told me but the church I want you in , the members can ring the church two times; and the vision I had came true. With a vision it can happen.. All the prayer and seeking and crying and emotion and knowledge and money and willing bodies won't cut it. IT TAKES A VISION.. In Christ.gregor
