Dear Graystone:

>>>>>>>What mechanism exists for Christians to identify fruitful ground, what attracts a non-believer to Christ. Do you believe banging a Buddhist on the head with your particular translation of the Bible is the key to bringing him to Christ, you are a most disconcerting Christian, if indeed you are one. Do you look at the world and see Christians everywhere or do you see those who might become Christian.<<<<<<

The mechanism that I see is surely me, or us as Christians. But the mechanism is powered by God, and yes I will stick to my original assertion that I have been used to bring others to Christ but I claim no goodness or righteousness in that fact; I want no reward either earthly or eternal for the deed that God did not me. Every conversion is a miracle of God.

But what else do I have to bring a potential convert; my goodness, my righteousness, my effort, my wisdom, ( that is a joke ! and obviously you agree ,I want you to !!). I can bring them the word of God; if what I tell them is true based upon my limited interpretation I have a chance to reach them; if I wrongly tell them lies or misconceptions then I have no chance, But the word says that Gods' word will not return void so I tell it on the mountain.

God forbid if any Christain willfully commits evil;but forgive me I just don't know how to be a good enough witness or a good enough example, or a smart enough, or crafty enough Christian to lead them to the Lord. If they look at me ( again, I am sure you will agree ) they are "sunk"; but if I can get them to look at Christ they have a chance. In Christ.gregor
