DVD-ReWritable (DVD+RW) drive here at CeBIT '98, which is being held through
March 25. During this first-ever public
demonstration of the write capabilities of this DVD+RW format, digital bitmap images
will be written to a DVD+RW drive in
real time, and then the DVD disk will be read. Product prototypes based on the
DVD+RW specification are expected to
