BellSouth's success or failure with MMDS will be very important as well. If it proves to be a moneymaker for an RBOC, MMDS companies will start to look more attractive.

WHITE HAVEN, Pa. (Dow Jones)--Emcee Broadcast Products Inc. (ECIN) Tuesday
said it signed a value added reseller agreement to distribute Hybrid Networks
Inc. (HYBR) broadband access equipment worldwide.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

In a press release, Emcee said it will offer Hybrid's software and equipment
including modem/routers to deliver 1-way and 2-way wireless high speed Internet
access and other data applications via the wireless cable spectrum.
Emcee's "DS"
digital transmitters and related equipment support with aggregated downstream
bandwidth of 30 Mbps.

The combined equipment of the companies will give users an Internet downstream
bandwidth of up to 10 Mbps in a 2 MHZ video sub-channel and telephone return up
to 33.6 Kbps, or return router via ISDN, Frame Relay or T1.

Wireless two-way proposals using the MMDS spectrum are pending before the
Federal Communications Commission.


Emcee will also offer networking solutions for high-speed Internet
applications over the UHF broadcast spectrum.

Emcee develops, makes and markets analog and digital transmitters and
associated hardware for the wireless cable industry.
