It is true that the ask size was smaller than my buy order, but it is also true that a simple subtraction of one number from the other done by a computer can not possibly take several minutes to calculate and for the unfilled balance to be posted back to Island's computer when the original posting to Island can be achieved in a fraction of a second! I do use a human broker as well, but he is far slower and more expensive than Datek..
