If so they would naturally jerk the rod when a quick drop of the bobber exceeds the average downward momentum (not to mention the linear regression). They do not want to let the little quick profits get away. So they reel her in. When the daily volume is much lower than the average, we will see occasional choppiness on top of the major trend.
