Brazil shares end higher after Wall Street rises

SAO PAULO, March 20 (Reuters) - Brazilian shares ended higher on Friday, led by second-tier and power-sector stocks, as Wall Street's strong rise prompted a halt to profit-taking and helped boost local prices ahead of the close, brokers said.

Brokers said a wave of afternoon profit-taking, focused heavily on benchmark Telebras preferred (TEL_p.SA), came to a halt as Wall Street stocks started to rise, enabling the Sao Paulo market to end the week on a positive note.
