At this site, I like to use the XAU and Newmont charts (the symbols are $xau and for newmont its nem

I use the following: 1. The line chart rather than the bar chart option 2. RSI (relative strength index) option 3. Stochastic and Williams options.

Notice when you pull up these charts with the option mentioned above, that the Stochastic and Williams have or are about to bottom. On the XAU only one line has crossed below 20 but the other I believe will cross below on Monday.

On Newmont chart, both stochastics lines has crossed below 20.

And on the William's option both charts have hit bottom.

One need to glance back to see the action of the prices in similar bottomings.

There are other technical options available for those who have a technical bent of mind. Might want to play around with the Weekly and Monthly charts with technical indicators also.
