I talked with John George today. He's treasurer and investment relations contact with Republic Engineered Steel. I asked him about the Y2k issue in the steel industry and he told me Republic takes it very, very seriously. I told him to drop the TAVA name to his management colleagues as soon as possible. REPS is a potentially interesting turnaround to balance a portfolio. New venture partners for a mini-mill to be announced shortly, plus extensive restructuring. Cheap as well at 3.75. Back to TAVA. Any educated guesses where a pullback entry point might be within the next few days...need more!
