Has anyone seen a revenue model for IRIDF? Would involve lots of guess work but.... just for fun - if Iridium was averaging 1% utilization of the 1100 voice channels over the 66 birds at $3.00 a minute this multiplys out to >$1 billion/year. Now, 1% of 1100 * 66 is only 726 channels active on average. Seems like a very low utilization factor worldwide. Now if this were say 5%, wouldn't this start to pay the freight on the initial $4-5 Billion investment"?

What are good guesses? I believe IRIDF only has 8% of the action. I don't know if they still intend to charge $3.00 per minute and how this relates to local calls versus long distance (Iridium carries the call around the globe so should get something for the LD service), other tariffs and service charges, etc. Someone must have a model....

May Sundays launch go well.
