Jens: I spoke with Carol Croft (investor relations) yesterday. I asked what was meant by "the company is concerned about earnings". She indicated it was nothing serious but they were disappointed with current operating results in AIA. She really had no definitive or quantitative information, and I must confess I spent most of the time telling her to relate to executive officers how irresponsible that kind of news release was. I didn't get to talk with her until after the stock had reopened and recovered from 17 1/4 low area. She did say that they had issued another statement which I later read, and I didn't think it was that much better than the first. I was also irritated that they didn't spread the first release around. Apparently they only released it to DJ newswire, and it wasn't until well after the stock was halted that I found it.

I think we got the royal screw job, but I guess that's what you have to expect when trading a thinly traded Nasdaq stock.

Maybe things will look better after earnings, JB
