A little more : In addition to processing food waste and by-products into liquid and dry feed ingredients the Co. is also feeding approximately 10,000 hogs per year. This activity will provide visitors of the Amherstburg facility an opportunity to see hogs being fed these feed ingredients in a new state of the art liquid feed system. The liquid feed system is being manufactured in Germany by Meyer Lohne. The feed system is new to North America but is installed in 6,000 hog finishing units throughout Europe. This feeding system allows for a wider range of both dry and liquid feed ingredients to be fed to the hogs in order to gain maximum production and feed efficiencies. The Co. will also be marketing these feeding systems throughout North America as part of a full service program to the end users of these new feed ingredients.
