I - am extremely confused. When Michael mentioned his lost gerbil, I posted to him that he could have it back for $10,000 ransom. Then you posted to him that you had found it and were keeping it in your bra. So if you have the little rat, offer it to Michael for whatever you feel is fair (gerbil food, bras, toilet paper and time to manufacture gerbil diapers at a minimum). But I claim to have the real gerbil and am deciding exactly how to extort the money from Michael. Shoulda kidnapped his Intel shares or something!<G>

What happened is that Jane believed the pagans were reducing the population of household pets by quite a bit. Not just ordinary run-of-the-mill tree-worshipping pagans, not even vampires, but SATANISTS! YES! Dear Sirs: My friend Pam wrote to you the other day about her little dog Muffy who has been kidnapped by the Satanists again. My Twinkle, too. Now Twinkle's home again, but all she does is pee on the carpet and snarl at her kibble. This isn't fair. We've put up with the incessant loud parties and frequent baby sacrifices engaged in by the Satanist family on our block. I did not utter so much as a PEEP about those pentagrams, and I didn't complain about the goat that ate all my daffodils. But it took so long to get Twinkle housetrained, and now this! Thank you.
