Fred, Paul, etc. Was researching graphics processors and came
across Creative Technology's website and comments about their
new 3D accelerator card based on Voodoo2 chipset. In the
technical FAQ section they warn against the use of non-Intel
processors for their products:

<<The data sheet states that a "Genuine Intel Pentium, Pentium
Pro, or Pentium II processor" is required. Does this mean that it
won't work on my non-Intel processor?

The card should work on Intel-compatible processors not manufactured by Intel,
but we won't be performing any testing or certification on them.

Additionally, many Intel-compatible processors have floating-point processing
performance that's inferior to that of Intel processors. While this isn't a problem
for many types of applications, it can really show up when running
high-performance games. This occasionally leads to end users believing that the
fault is with their 3D accelerator. If the ultimate in game speed is what you're
after and your PC uses a Intel-compatible processor with slower floating-point
speed, you might actually consider moving to an Intel processor before investing
in the 3D Blaster Voodoo2.>>

I guess all the graphics/gaming devotees better avoid AMD or Cyrix
CPUs!!!!!!!!!
