D LEE, The Nasdaq and Amex reason was explained somewhere. I think it was on here by John. It goes something like this;;; The Naz gets to advertise a floor and excitement. The MM is semi cut out of the profit picture on Naz, which appeals to it's customers, funds and investors. The Naz has been getting some heat over the last couple of years about collusion, etc.So now they have to throw a bone to the wolves, what with instinet and other similar threats.This is all IMO... russell
