IOM- The Best Short in the World?

I don't know if IOM is the absolute best short candidate right now, but it is certainly attractive. Its price support is very, very weak. It trounced through its long-term support levels on Monday, so the stigma of moving below $7 a share has been erased. A close next week below $7 will confirm its worst levels in a long, long time. This is all an indication of a company in a reversal of fortunes- a projected yearly eanings decline of more than (-62%).

Rest assured, IOM will be in the $6's next week. It's getting very ugly around here as the longs get crankier and crankier. But I will continue to point out the obvious- that IOM is going to $4.80/share soon, despite the Iomanical tirades defaming my character, sexuality, masculinity, parental lineage, and any other assortment of personal attributes one holds dear. The voice who has been correct all along (me) will not keep silent despite the duress that irrational Iomega Bulls pathetically spew.

See you at $4.80.

>>"Add up these figures ($6.14 + $2.42 + $6.09) and divide by three, and you get a downside risk value of $4.88. "

This prestigious author comes up with a figure of $4.88. How does that correspond with my cover target of $4.80? I was 1.6% away from this author.<<

Rocky -

The author also said that he really didn't expect IOM to drop much further, and that he didn't think it would get anywhere near the DRV price.

But even if he did predict that price, would that prove it was going to happen? If two people say something that makes it right?

Sure, it may happen, but once again you confuse something that you have pulled out of your own head for a fact.

"...Murphy thinks it's unrealistic to expect Iomega will fall to...$4.45. "I just don't see there's a lot of risk in the stock [today]."
