I just thought I'd let everyone know that I am getting a very sick feeling in my tummy. Today was truly ugly, block after block exiting this company. Monday may just be one of those days. I own at 20.5, and may have to exit at a sizable loss. Called IR (Truitt), and he was unable/unwilling to take my telephone call. The secretary tried to help by telling me nothing. They are not commenting on the 'status' of the 'negotiations'. When I asked if
this was because of attorneys muzzling them, etc., she calmly told me it was 'because they didn't want to comment until something was finalized, because of the possibility of the deal falling through'. This is truly scary. I didn't think that in negotiations that were ongoing, with 'an announcement imminent' as of two weeks ago plus, this would be the status, especially in a critical situation where the patient is dying. Then I asked about the
purported 'insider buying' rumor which I have also heard, and she again said they 'don't comment on rumors'. Now really, insider buying is not rumor. If it is happening it is an issue of fact, either it is or isn't. This is not speculation. I thought I deserved a better answer, especially since I was being nice, which they probably aren't used to at this point (and it was Friday, I've had good results calling even CEO's of Fortune 100s on
Fridays). Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know that this is beginning to look more and more like one of my all-time losers, in with the likes of places like MACR, just companies whose beacon came and went, and now say nothing because they really have nothing to say. My last comment was, 'is there anything you can tell me' and she said 'have a nice day', to which I responded 'I'll double that, have a nice weekend' ,,,NOT.
By the way, I'm in the business for those that don't know me.
Monday may be rough,,,I sure hope not.
