that is not what I took you to say...because you are indicating that it is going to trade in a range

now you are saying it isnt going to trade it in a range and flounder around 20

and if something is going to trade in a range of 18 to 24 you can make money on a strangle

what you are talking about is a short strangle ( I GUESS) and would take alot of money in an account to handle the two short sides....and I dont even know if it would have been profitable

I dont EVER do an unprotected short on ANYTHING...but alot of people do...I dont like the risk

I wouldnt do a short or long straddle on this

but again....since you believe it is a candidate do one

You were right. Selling both sides is a strangle. Lisa was describing a straddle.
