stephen,
Fund manager guest on nightly business news stated that a growth company with 15% growth in an economy with 8% inflation would trade at 17 PE. Now with the economic conditions we currently have a 40 to 50 PE seems acceptable for the same growth companies. At the same time, he isn't puting his fund's money in those companies. They scare him. Seems logical to me. You may be proud to say you own cpq when this market turns. It may make 9600, but what goes up must come down.

Right now I'm on the sidelines and actually looking for a place to buy. I'm thinking the 22 area should show good support but I'll wait for the market to put a bottom in before I jump on board. I'm just tired of everyone taking shots at short sellers because their making money now while the bulls are watching their equity dwindle.
