Spin-off will add $22 billion to the existing AFS float of $6-7 billion. With F sometimes considered a value driven stock and AFS earnings driven, there is that slim chance the F(value) investor will sell AFS after distribution, causing short-term downward pressure. If this happens, it will represent an enormous buying opportunity. So cowboyfan, my opinion is to keep your eyes pealed for possible short-term bargains- as they are few and far between with this issue.

It will probably take a few weeks for things to sort themselves out. Once the dust settles, all I can see is continued smooth sailing for an autonomous AFS.
