Well, it can't be just mocking Jesus Christ. Because the whole world does almost, and then a lot of them end up very, very saint-like when they get saved. I think blasphemy is dangerous in that it opens doors to other influences to come into your life and rake you over because God withdraws His hand of blessing.

All those last years in Arizona, I came very close to a lot of danger, but I could always feel the blessing over me, waiting, waiting just a little longer. Then one day I felt like I was going to be cut loose. I just felt it and it was very frightening. Then I started getting my act cleaned up real quick. Real quick.

The difference between a sinner who mocks and blasphemes God and one that doesn't--the one that doesn't usually doesn't end up in a paragraph on page five telling of their strange death. For one thing.
But the one that does often ends up a paragraph and is soon forgotten. I don't believe harm can come to a person who trusts God to protect them in all ways. But I do not think the blasphemer has that assurance.

That is my opening premise on it. First of all, the worst thing is that it is very dangerous for the person doing it and for their immediate life's circumstances. We need to really look at scripture on it though. More later.

I am glad I took your advice. Have you looked lately?

MSB,
Actually Jesus said you can blaspheme Him but not the Holy Spirit, that is the sin that will go into the next life. Nancy

Hi Mike,
Jesus said all sins will be forgiven but blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be
forgiven. He said this right after He was accused of healing someone by the power of
the devil which was blaspheming the Holy Spirit who had performed the miracle. I
have always thought about it this way. That the witness of Jesus is brought by the Holy
Spirit and healing as a testimony that He is the Christ right in front of them was rejected
as authentic. They therefore are calling the Holy Spirit a liar and rejecting the testimony
of Jesus by the Holy Spirit and in the act of doing so seal there fate. Their can be no
salvation if they reject the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Catch 22. If the Holy Spirit is
offended and leaves you have no way to accept Jesus and be sealed until the day of
redemption.

Bob
