Ever since a child as Superman
You wished for it far upon the stars
Hoping and praying to find the crack in the door.
Thinking some how, some where it has to be there.
You're looking all around for some other way
But there isn't
Your head goes down
Your left foot drags in the dirt.

Then the man with reality comes in
He's gonna' make you feel all right:
"You're something special who's time is yet to come
And shine its light on you
So patients my child
Don't run out of your socks and shoes
'Cause one day you'll find
You need them under your feet.

You won't fly off on the wings of a dove....
Not ever.
That something inside needs to be tamed
Do something today to help you tomorrow
It's easy you'll see
Everyone else is doing it.

So stop slow down
Your life is short
But longer than you're hoping for
Don't get caught outside
When the rain is coming down
Pouring hard.
Be prepared for everything
And everything will finely end."
