There you go Chris! I gotta tell you that I am not that familiar with the term as it seems to be something some daytrader must have used in a book they wrote and it caught on in one of the books they wrote.

I just like the word "loss".
Max drawdown? I just don't understand its relevance or distinction from the word "loss".

"now 5k is the max LOSS, not max drawdown"
Sounds like when you are in the casino and they want you to not realize how much you lose because you deal with chips not cash. They dont want the word loss going thru traders heads because they might stop coming into their soes shops.
I'll stick with the word loss....cold, hard and to the point.
