JGoren,re:"block trade..any idea". Sorry, I don't. Unless we are
going into recession and everyone cutting back, TXN should be OK.

I think the DSP's market is less mature vs. CPU's market. Kind of
what Kurlack/ML said. Hate to agree with this man, causing me too
much grief several times a year.

The communication infra-structure is still under development all
over the world. Even in U.S, I believe the 'networking' guys still
have things to do.

On the other subject about 'engineers have nothing to do in some part
of TI'. Doesn't WS like 'layoff'? On the surface, cancelling project
is bad. Then one may look at how business is run. You attack as many
markets as you can afford, look at the progress and focus on the
most promising area(s). I really don't think that is a cause of
concern. Hopefully, TXN's business process has the check and balance
to know when to start/stop a project. These things happen to every
one of us at personal/individual level. The smart one know which is
the right way sooner.

TXN was not very respected by WS, it probably still is, though it is
getting better. Maybe in a year on two and we look back and find that
TXN is earning the respect by having a "refined business process" and
more focus on 'making money' in addition to 'making product'.
