Hello, just looking around for an investment that matches my current computer "wants", and stumbled on Fonix. If it is not already apparent, here is my opinion on mega industry:
Internet from auto. How it gets delivered will be the question. I would first like "collector" software that collects text internet information that I have selected as interest to me (like SI threads for example). I would then like that software to copy this onto a medium of some sort (small) so it will be useable in my audio player in my car. I then want it to read to me on the way home. I think the AcuVoice stuff mentioned here is a possibility for the text-to-speech translation. Another possibility, however, is for services to take the information from the internet and "record" it to a digital/audio file, and then just have your car audio device read the recorded info in whomever's voice was used in the voice-over. This would alleviate the necessity for a text-to-speech converter app, but it is obvious that it will eventually be in these auto devices for other purposes.
The business ramifications are also mind boggling. Scanned docs could be loaded up on the medium before leaving work so your overtime could be performed in the car ride (or train/bus/cab for wearable computers) home.

Can anyone tell me what the likely disk/device will be for these players to use (will it be on recordable CDs)?

Can anyone direct me to other co.s that might win at the game I have mentioned?

Thanks in advance....Kurt
