Let us not forget that ALTR is almost 80% owned by institutions, whose moves don't rely on information from Edelstone or any other market maker's analyst. Morgan makes money when people buy or sell, thus the love affair with volatile stocks like ALTR.

I am starting to feel that an earnings warning is not going to come, though if it did it would probably not be until the very last days of the quarter or a day or two into the new quarter. If we get to 3rd or 4th April without one, then expect them to meet or slightly exceed consensus estimates.

However, they will get pounded by any other negative earnings news out of semiconductor or related stocks. The move down to high thirties is probably in sympathy to concerns about other semis and in the networking guys.

In short, I think the stock has long term upward potential, will probably not crater on its own merit this cycle, and presents a buying opportunity from now until its earnings announcement. I personally am looking for another 10-20% pull back on one of those bloodletting days, then buy like crazy...
