I haven't detected any downsides based on my digging into publicly available information. However, I am looking forward to David Zimmer's analysis based on his recent visit to THNK and additional research. However, keep in mind that if David concludes that THNK does not have good long term potential, he likely will make a move out of THNK before publicizing his conclusion. (Note: David has every right to do this, so this is not a criticism. After all, he should be able to profit from his additional efforts.)

Given that THNK has hooked some major clients over the last six months, it's hard to imagine that they will do anything but exceed the 0.40 estimated EPS for 1998. I know that David focuses closely on the quality of a company's leadership and management. Other than looking at the numbers (which are exciting), I have no idea about the quality of THNK's CEO and management team.

Finally, I especially like THNK because I fundamentally agree with their philosophy about how to use the web. Rather than simply maximizing clicks on ad banners, they see web sites as a way to build reputation and goodwill. I've used this very strategy with great success with my law practice. My web site has user-oriented content that helps potential clients, who in turn call me when they need legal help. (If interested, check out www.pestlaw.com -- however, it deals with pesticide news and regulatory information and thus likely won't be of much interest to most of you.) Using this approach on the web, I was able to build a very dynamic and successful legal practice after many years with a "big-city" law firm. (In fact, I left that firm because they didn't want to innovate with resources like the web. That firm has since disbanded.)

Thus, I think THNK's basic philosophy is a winner and I think its recent profitability and growing client base confirms that conclusion.
